Before scheduling a charter, please make sure to understand this policy thoroughly. Your reservation with CentralCommonsPlaza serves as your agreement to these terms of refund.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule
More than 72 Hours Before Charter
Applicable for: Full refund excluding processing fees
Time to Process: 5-7 working days
Handling Charge: €50 applicable to card payments
Requirements: Request must be in written form through email or via a phone call
24-72 Hours Before Charter
Applicable for: Half of the total cost of charter
Time to Process: 7-10 working days
Handling Charge: €25 will be subtracted from the refunded amount
Requirements: Justifiable reason is necessary; subject to administrative expenses
Less than 24 Hours Before Charter
Applicable for: No refunds are offered
Exception: Exceptions for emergencies might be considered
Alternative Offered: Charter credit might be provided at the discretion of the management
Requirements: Proof of emergency required
Weather-Related Cancellations
Our Commitment to Safety
Our highest concern is safety. Should our certified captain determine that weather conditions are unsafe for charter operations, we offer adaptable options:
- Full Refund: If rescheduling is not possible, a complete refund will be offered
- Rescheduling: You may change your booking to a future date without any additional fees
- Charter Credit: A voucher valid for one year from your initial charter date
Evaluation of Weather
The process of assessing weather conditions includes:
- Examining wind patterns and strength
- Observing wave size and ocean conditions
- Forecasting visibility and precipitation
- Monitoring advisories and warnings from the Coast Guard
- Safety assessment from our qualified captain
Decision Timing: The call for weather-related cancellations is made no later than 4 hours prior to the planned departure time.
Emergency Medical Refunds
Qualifying Emergency Instances
We are considerate of the fact that medical urgencies can arise. Such emergencies might qualify for special consideration include:
- Sudden medical conditions or injuries in need of hospitalization
- Passing away of a family member
- Unanticipated military service or recall
- Being called to serve jury duty or a court mandate
- Natural disasters impeding travel
Required Proof
For emergency refund claims, these documents are necessary:
- Documentation from a hospital or a medical certificate
- Obituary or death certificate
- Notice of military orders
- Legal summons or notice for jury duty
- Public statements or advisories regarding emergencies
Refund Process: Refunds for emergencies will be processed within 3-5 days upon receiving the correct documents.
Cancellations Due to Operations
Vessel Malfunctions
Should the assigned boat experience mechanical issues that cannot be fixed:
- Replacement Vessel: We will try to provide a comparable alternative
- Complete Refund: Offered if there is no suitable alternative
- Partial Refund: Given if the alternative vessel is priced differently
- Compensation: Additional reparation may be given for the inconvenience caused
Unavailability of the Crew
In the uncommon situation where our licensed crew is not available:
- Replacement crew will be arranged if feasible
- Complete refund if unable to proceed with the charter
- Option to reschedule without extra charges
Processing Refunds
Methods of Refund
Refunds will be credited back to the initial method of payment:
- Credit Cards: Processed within 5-7 business days
- Bank Transfers: Processed within 7-10 business days
- Cash/Cheque: Processed within 3-5 business days
Fees for Transactions
Card Transaction Charge
A €50 fee for cancellations more than three days ahead
Bank Transfer Fee
A €25 fee applicable for all refunds via bank transfer
Processing for International Transactions
Extra charges may be incurred for international dealings
Voucher Policy
Credit Issuance Situations
In certain cases, charter credits could be provided instead of a refund:
- Late cancellations (under 24 hours notice)
- Weather-dependent cancellations
- Voluntary requests for rescheduling
- Charter disruptions
Terms of Credit Usage
- Validity: Valid for 12 months from the issuance date
- Non-Transferable: Cannot be transferred to other individuals
- Value: Equal to the entire value of the charter, excluding transaction fees
- Application: Redeemable for any available charter service
- Expiration: No extensions past 12 months permitted
Refunds for Incomplete Services
Interruptions in Service
If the charter gets cut short or interrupted due to factors within our control:
- A proportional refund relative to the unutilized charter period
- Credit applicable for a future charter of the same worth
- Complimentary services or potential upgrades
Disruptions Induced by Guests
Should a charter end early on account of guest behavior or breach of safety guidelines:
- No compensation for the remaining time of the charter
- Complete payment is still obligatory
- There may be additional fees applied
Addressing Disputes
If you contest a decision made regarding your refund, you can:
- Appeal for reconsideration to our administrative team
- Present further evidence or documents
- Look for a resolution through consumer protection organizations
- Seek lawful solutions as permitted by governing laws

Second Step: Submit Necessary Details
Your refund request should include the following:
- Your confirmation code from the booking
- Time and date of the charter
- Reason for the cancellation
- Any relevant supporting evidence
- How you would prefer to receive the refund
Final Step: Verification and Completion
Upon receiving your appeal, our staff will confirm it in 24 hours, review against our policies, advise of the decision in 48 hours, and conduct a refund when approved following the timeframes outlined above.
Additional Information
- All refund applications must be submitted formally in writing
- Refunds will be processed in €, irrespective of the original transaction currency
- We strongly suggest getting travel insurance coverage
- This refund policy is subject to revision with a month's notification
- Refunds are subject to the prevailing taxes and legal regulations
